#22: Saguaro Cactus vs. A Hiker
The saguaro cactus is one of the signature plants of the Sonoran Desert in Arizona. These cacti are the largest in the United States. If you’re lucky enough to come upon a saguaro in the wild, you can see just how large and imposing they truly are in real life. We’re not out in the Sonoran Desert at the moment, so this photo will have to do.

Look how tall this cactus is! It’s kind of hard to gauge how large something is in the flat expanse of the desert. However, the hiker standing next to the saguaro shows how tall this miraculous desert creature is. This plant is taller than most buildings in an average American town. A saguaro this tall must be at least a century old.
