#6: Tiny Jar, Big Box
Beauty brands are notorious for using misleading packaging. For example, look at this moisturizing cream. This shopper purchased this product thinking it was a tall tube of cream. They were surprised to find a tiny jar instead. The rest of the box was simply filled with air and some cardboard.
We’re assuming the box is so much bigger than the cream because of the laundry list of ingredients on the back. The box also lists the ounces, so shoppers can technically decipher how much product they’re getting before they make a purchase. Still, the box’s appearance makes people assume they’re getting more than they really are.
