Where the Wild Things Are is a famous children’s book written by Maurice Sendak and published in 1963. Upon its release, the book was considered controversial and banned from school and libraries, but critics quickly understood the importance of its psychological message for children. Since the late sixties, the book has sold nearly 20 million copies worldwide.
All this introduction was to say how much we love this Where the Wild Things Are costume. There’s nothing like taking a favorite childhood book come to life one night a year, and this father decided to teach his child about the book before she could even read it, bu dressing for Halloween as Max and Carol. We’re not sure the baby understands what’s going on, but at least her father is having the time of his life.
