The Weather Outside is Frightful
Hollywood has so many tricks up its sleeve to create convincing illusions, especially these days with technological advancement. How else would they make it snow on a movie set in Los Angeles? There are times when things are exactly as they seem, but most of the time, the environment of a set is made up.
One particular scene in Django Unchained shows flakes of fluffy snow floating in the background of Django and Schultz talking. In fact, this isn’t snow at all! It is cotton sourced from Choctaw and Chickasaw County, Mississippi. Sometimes good old-fashioned special effect tricks work better than CGI, or the real thing.
