Spot the Apple
If you pay close attention, Tarantino’s famous Red Apple cigarettes can be found in pretty much every one of his movies. It’s a fun game to try and spot them in the background or catch a character using one. As we find out in Once Upon a Time…In Hollywood, the cigarette company was founded in 1862. Brilliantly, there is visual proof that this product has been around for a long time.
In The Hateful Eight (2015), we see the character Bob smoking from a pack of Manzana Roja cigarettes. “Manzana Roja” is Spanish for “Red Apple” and shows how well thought out details of the Tarantino-verse truly are. You could even say that Red Apple cigarettes are one of the founding details of Quentin Tarantino’s cinematic world.
