Butch is His Father’s Son
Pulp Fiction is famous for its non-linear storytelling and witty dialogue. However, this movie also has a heartfelt, more sentimental storyline as well. Butch Coolidge (Bruce Willis) owns a watch that was passed down to him from his father. In the movie, Butch is the only family member who has owned the watch and not had to go through a scary situation.
That soon changes, though. In order for Butch to be able to pass down the family watch to his kids, he has to go through a dangerous series of situations that eerily echo what his own father had to go through. Butch then becomes a murderer, gets captured, bonds with his fellow prisoners, and then finally escapes to live another day.
