Which Way to the Costume Department?
There are many stories of famous actors and directors starting off with humble beginnings before they made their big break. Quentin Tarantino’s story is no different. While filming his debut film, Reservoir Dogs, in 1992 their budget was so low that the actors had to bring and use their own clothes on set.
The iconic black suits that the movie came to be known for were actually given to the wardrobe department as a gift. They were given for free simply because the designer was a big fan of crime films. May we all send a big ‘Thank you!’ to that designer for their generosity. Without them, we might have a very different version of the movie today.
