Fact: Spam’s Deceiving Name
We all know SPAM, and not the computer kind; it’s that weird-looking ham that comes in a can, often used for practical joke purposes or when there’s nothing else to eat. A pretty common misconception about the item is that it’s an acronym for Scientifically Processed Animal Matter. This actually isn’t the case.
So, SPAM actually stands for a mixture of the words Spice and Ham. That sounds a lot more appealing than the weird acronym counterpart. We didn’t think that Spam had a lot of spice to it, but apparently, it does. If you haven’t had it before, maybe this will give you the incentive to try it. Or not.
