#51: My Mom, the Race Driver
Social norms and conventions dictate that moms and dads have distinct roles in the family and they usually live up to those expectations. We’re not talking about how the man goes out to work while the wife stays at home to cook and clean – this isn’t the 1950s – but we’re talking about certain behavior patterns that often characterize moms and dads.
For example, dads are usually the ones who drive on family trips, and they are often impatient drivers. Moms tend to be the calm ones on the road, and you don’t usually expect them to engage in racing competitions with other drivers! In this family, it seems like the roles are reversed, and this mom is the reckless driver.
