#2: Sea Bullies
Octopuses, known for their remarkable intelligence and complex behaviors, sometimes engage in seemingly playful and aggressive interactions with other fish by delivering a swift and deliberate “punch.” This behavior is not driven by territorial disputes or predation but rather appears to be a form of harmless social interaction and exploration.
Octopuses are curious creatures, and they use their dexterous arms to interact with their environment. By “punching” or tapping other fish, they may be testing boundaries, engaging in communication, or simply satisfying their curiosity. This phenomenon has been observed primarily in captive octopuses and is not yet fully understood.
