#16: The Best Leftovers
Some may say that the microwave is the best invention ever, and we are inclined to agree. Leftovers are so much more enjoyable nicely warmed up rather than overcooked in the oven. But why is it that the microwave frequently misses a few spots in our food, leaving it cold? We’ve all wondered about this before, and now we finally have an answer.
The problem, it seems, is not necessarily with the microwave, but with the way we’re using it! Popping a bowl in for reheating seems so convenient, but it’s not doing our food any favors. Turns out, having the food piled up like that makes it harder for the heat waves to reach the food in the middle. The best way to heat your food evenly is to spread it out as much as you can.
