#39: The Disappearing Umbrella
Awkward situations on public transit can be completely mortifying, as we’ve seen from several of these stories. This lady got her umbrella caught in the pant leg of a complete stranger, and she doesn’t know how it happened. It was a rainy day, so she had her wet umbrella with her on the bus. As she was about to get off, she struggled to get her umbrella unhooked from the leg of the passenger next to her.
Of course, the umbrella handle didn’t easily get untangled. It continued to travel up the inside of this man’s pant leg until it was almost entirely engulfed. Why does the universe hate Rebecca?! Also, why didn’t this man stand up or do something to help her out?! He was probably trying to be nice, but this just sounds like he made this embarrassing situation worse, honestly.
