Children of the 1970s might recognize these green guys. That’s right, these green monsters are Sleestaks from the hit ‘70s show Land of the Lost. This vintage photo was taken of three actors dressed in their full Sleestak costume and make-up. Most of us think Sleestaks are creepy because we know them as the antagonists from the TV show.

These reptilian humanoids are off-putting for many reasons. After all, they were designed to freak people out! Their clawed feet, giant black eyes, and fish-like mouths all work together to create a creepy vibe. This famous character is all sorts of creepy, but we wouldn’t have it any other way. The designers did a great job.
