Today, with the different social media platforms, it seems like it would be a lot easier to jump-start this kind of project. Demi started with zero followers o Instagram and TikTok and as she traded her way up to a house, she’s also gained more and more followers, who were all encouraged and supported her throughout the journey.
Plus, a lot of them offered her items for barter, and at a certain point, she no longer had to visit online marketplaces- she just had to check her inbox for messages and offers. Her story has inspired other people and social media influencers to embark on a similar journey of their own. So far, we haven’t heard of people who managed to reach their goals.
