#44: Pets Support Mental Health
Anxiety seems to be on the rise, especially for younger people. A lot of that anxiety comes from the state of the world as a whole, which can appear dismal. It also arises from social media activity and cyberbullying. But not to worry because scientists found out that pets can actually help us to cope with this stressful feelings!
The good news is that parents can use a tried-and-true method to lessen the odds that their kids are chronically anxious. All you need to do is get a dog. Having a furry friend appears to set the minds of children at ease. I wonder if cats are just effective as dogs!
