#33: A Paw Preference
Here’s a pet fact that caught me by surprise. At least one study has shown that cats can be left-pawed or right-pawed, just like humans are left-handed or right-handed. However, unlike humans, cat paw preferences seem to change depending on whether it’s a boy or a girl. Imagine if that was the case for humans as well…
Whether a cat is left-pawed or right-pawed does not seem to be all that consequential overall. However, now that I know this fact, I’ll be keeping a closer eye on my female feline to see if she demonstrates a clear tendency to use her right paw more than her left.
