For good luck
For years now, the horseshoe has been considered a good luck charm. Even those of us who aren’t superstitious are familiar with the widespread idea that a horseshoe is believed to ward off evil spirits and bad luck. There’s still some controversy regarding the direction of the horseshoe – whether it should face up or down, but there’s a universal agreement that horseshoe represents luck.
For this reason, it’s not uncommon to get a horseshoe tattoo – for protection and good luck. This girl and her father got matching horseshoe tattoos, and added the words “one and one” on the father’s arm, and “two” on the girl’s arm. We can only imagine the “one and one” represents the father and his daughter, and it’s adds a nice, personal touch to the tattoo.
