#3: Learn an Instrument
There’s no doubt that learning to play an instrument is good for your mental and emotional health. Numerous studies show that it combines both sides of your brain, and it’s one of the most low-impact hobbies from an environmental standpoint. Whether you want to learn the piano, the guitar or the trumpet, these instruments last for years with proper care.
There are even donation programs designed to help novice players obtain used instruments so they can learn to play on a low budget. Nothing quite puts a smile on your face like finally landing all the notes on a piece you’ve been practicing or hearing beautiful music played from a balcony when you’re out on a walk.
