#27: Embellish with Embroidery and Needle Felting
Do you have old jeans that need a fresh look? Or maybe a hand-me-down jacket that could use a little flair? Learning to embroider or needle felt can add all sorts of amazing fun to many different projects. From scrapbooking to jewelry making, embroidery is very versatile. You probably have everything you need to start in your house already, but if not, it’s easy to take old textiles and unravel them to get started!
Many people use wool to needle felt, which is a sustainable resource. And wool dryer balls are fun to make and super eco-friendly! They’re reusable and cut down on dryer sheet production, which releases chemicals in the air and is atrocious for the environment. It’s also an excellent stress reducer because you’re stabbing tiny needles repeatedly into the wool. The repetition is calming, and the color options are endless.
