#11: Volunteer
Volunteering is always a good option when wanting to make connections in the community and help our environment. Whatever your interests, there’s a group out there needing your help in any field and area. You can volunteer knowledge, time, and even money to programs that are making a difference.
Check out your local social media pages, or sign up with a group on Nextdoor to help clean up your neighborhood or set up a recycling program. Lots of local fire stations will take soda cans and other recyclable items, which is easy enough to do. And of course, Thanksgiving is approaching in enormous steps – how about volunteering at a local soup kitchen? The possibilities are endless.
