The most common use of a pen or pencil, besides writing or drawing with them, is to put them in your mouth. Sure, we know it’s gross, and the amount of bacteria that live on these lids is probably very high, but it’s a subconscious act.
The fact that someone made a medieval mace lid for their Sharpie is genius for more reasons than one. You have several more angles to chew on, and people would be too intimidated to steal your Sharpie, which happens all the time.
