43. Editor
Sigh. If ever an occupation was misunderstood, it’s the lowly editor. You see, editors are not responsible for your typos — that would be the responsibility of the writer and the proofreader. Editors are probably not scrolling through your news feed correcting your grammatical errors, either. Their jobs are far more complicated than you might imagine.
Editors are the people who can tell you how to fix the flow and structure of your written masterpiece. They can help you rearrange things in a way that will make sense. If you were to send them a copy full of typos, it would result in a lot of eye-rolling and heavy sighing. Please, don’t do it.
