39. Transportation Engineer
You might think a few more lanes of traffic would make your morning commute go a lot easier, but you’re wrong. Transportation engineers are tired of hearing people say it; they know that it won’t help anything. They’re always looking for more efficient means of moving people and goods, but more lanes aren’t the answer.
Instead, they would like for you to think more like an engineer. Are cars and trucks the best way to get around, or is there something like a train or bus line that could solve the problem? It’s their job to figure it out — not to make wider highways.
