#50: It’s “They”
The Kool-Aid brand mascot – known as the Kool-Aid Man – dates back to the fifties. Everyone in the U.S., kids and adults, are familiar with the Kool-Aid Man. Even if you don’t drink Kool-Aid, you’ve heard of the Kool-Aid Man. Not many people know his real, full name is Frankie D’Koolaid – that’s how popular the name Kool-Aid is.
So, imagine if they decided to change the mascot’s name from the Kool-Aid Man to “Kool-Aid They”. You know, following the recent trend of non-gender identity pronouns that’s gained popularity in the past few years. I guess this change would be difficult for most people to accept, mostly because we’re creatures of habit and any kind of change can be hard on us.
