All I want for Christmas
There’s no ideal time for getting a divorce – it’s always an uncomfortable situation, but we’d say there is a worst time for getting a divorce – and that’s the holiday season. The holidays, and especially Christmas, are the best time of year, the time we all look forward to, a time for joy and happiness, a time to be surrounded by family and friends. We’d say getting a divorce is the opposite of those things.
Getting a divorce can be difficult enough as it is, and it gets even more complicated when only one side of the marriage wants to end things. It seems like this is the case here – one person is pushing to get a divorce, and the other won’t grant it. They were desperate enough to go on and ruin the holiday with this uncharacteristic Christmas wish.
