There are many animals all over the world that hold a world record. Today we’re going to share some of the cats that hold a world record. These cats will inspire you to look at cats differently and perhaps see if your kitty is able to achieve such similar feats in their life.

World’s Furriest Cat
A cat named Sophie from California has held the record for World’s Furriest cat. This record is an all-time high of 10.5 inches of fur. The fur on this kitty measured this long and thus became a new world record for a cat.

World’s Heaviest Cat
Now, this world record for a cat is interesting because it’s a breed of cat that combined a lion and tiger; a liger. The world’s heaviest cat is indeed a liger named Hercules. This heavy cat weighs in at 922 lbs and lives in Australia.

World’s Smallest Cat
This adorable Blue Point Himalayan cat weighed in at just 1lbs 8 oz with a measurement of 2 3/4 inch height and 7 1/2 inch length. Her name was Tinky Toy and she lived in the USA.

World’s Longest Domestic Cat
You’ve probably seen some long cats because we have some large cat breeds in the world but have you ever seen the world’s longest domesticated cat? This Maine Coon is a house cat the measured 3 feet 11 inches long and resides in Italy. This longest domestic cat’s name is Barivel, and we’re betting the owners had no clue this Maine Coon would grow to such lengths.

World’s Fastest Cat
Well, so far there’s no cat that’s ever beaten the cheetah with this world record. The world’s fastest cat has always been and continues to be the cheetah running at a speed of 60 mph. While this wild cat can reach such crazy speeds there is a house cat breed that can run up to 30 mph. This fast, but not fast enough cat breed is the Egyptian Mau.

There you have it the best list of cats that hold a world record. It’s not easy to get a world record but these cats such as the Liger, Tinker Toy, and the cheetah have risen to the challenge and maintain the lead in these world record title holders.
