40+ Nostalgic Cartoons Kids Today Are Missing Out On

Debuting on September 14, 1968, Wacky Races dazzled audiences with its vibrant cast led by Janet Waldo and others, alongside a hearty $70,000 episode budget. This Hanna-Barbera classic, recently rebooted in 2018, took viewers across America with eleven unique race cars embroiled in adventurous mishaps.

Narrated uniquely for each car, the show spotlighted the notorious cheaters Dick and Muttley, along with the singular female racer, Penelope. Their popularity was immense, birthing spinoffs. The original series waved goodbye with its finale on January 4, 1969.
