#14: Going to Work Sick
In our modern world, people seem to prioritize work above all else. In the past, people used to have different values and prioritized family over work, but it feels like there’s been a shift in our priorities sometime in the 21st century, particularly in the past decade.
Today, people work day and night; they’re available on the weekends and sometimes even work while on vacation. They would miss family events, attend meetings, and come to work sick. Why do we encourage this kind of behavior?
