The Food is (Not) Always Fresh
It shouldn’t really come as a surprise that the food fast-food restaurants serve is not always the freshest. But, what is shocking is that restaurants will use food and products even if they are expired. In order to make sure they get the most out of all the food they buy, fast food restaurant chains will actually promote items that are close to expiration to customers so it does not get thrown away.
A former Dairy Queen employee went to the internet to tell everyone that the peanut butter they have hardly gets used or switched out! It sits there until the oil separates. Cashiers are instructed to promote expired items, without concern of the customer’s health. While we can appreciate the no-waste policy, selling expired products is a whole other story.
