Movie Theaters Are No Saints Either
As it turns out, it’s not just restaurants that upcharge their food. At many movie theaters, you can find yummy food options like chicken fingers, candy, nachos, and of course, popcorn. We all know watching a movie without popcorn is not complete. We have to get our favorite snack, whether it’s popcorn or candy.
A movie theater employee spilled the beans and told the world that the popcorn tub you pay anywhere from $7 to $15 for actually only costs around 9 cents to make. That is an enormous markup. We all knew they over-charge, though. And then again, there is nothing like eating overly buttery popcorn while catching a new movie.
