#43: Lady Who Did What?
This next picture looks like someone just really didn’t think things through before ordering a granite plaque. But I like to imagine that something deeper was afoot. Maybe the person who ordered this plaque was ordered to do so by his boss, but he really didn’t want to.
I like to imagine that he knew that Lady Mary Holborow, Lord Lieutenant, had a sinister dark past, like she made her fortune by bullying kids on the playground to take their lunch money. So he didn’t want the community center to be associated with her. And this was his answer: make the plaque, but make sure that no one can read it despite their best efforts.
