#10: Made Where?
This next one looks pretty ridiculous, but I have a theory about it. A lot of manufacturing these days is done in China, as they produce products much more cheaply than a lot of places. And this really bothers some Americans, who are mad about Chinese factories taking American jobs (although it’s not clear if those same people would be willing to pay extra for American-manufactured goods).
So maybe the designer of this package, knowing the backlash that “Made in China” could produce, stuck an American flag above it in the hopes that people would see the flag and then not bother reading the words. Or, of course, it could just be a ridiculous mistake.
