#28: Nutritional Content
Orcas, also known as killer whales, hold an important position as apex predators in the oceanic food chain. These intelligent and highly adaptable mammals are known to prey on a wide range of marine species, including large sharks like great whites. In some instances, orcas have been observed hunting and overpowering great white sharks, demonstrating their formidable hunting skills.

What’s particularly intriguing is their preference for consuming the liver and, occasionally, the heart of the sharks, leaving the rest of the carcass behind. This behavior has led to the assumption that orcas may target these specific organs for their nutrient-rich content. This highlights the versatility and cunning nature of these apex predators in the marine ecosystem.
